Organised by the Friends of Grampian Hospitals Art Trust, the Postcards from Home project aims to raise the awareness of the work of the Trust, generate much needed cash to fund its activities and make art accessible to all.
This project would not be possible without generosity of all the artists who have given their valuable time to produce and submit the wonderful array of art works on display. We thank you all.
We put a call out to artists to submit postcard size pieces of art to exhibit and sell and were blown away by the response, with over 200 individuals from far and wide agreeing to participate.
This resulted in a wonderful range of artwork produced by both professional and amateur artists.
Each piece is for sale at £30. The artists’ name will not be revealed until you have received your purchase.
GHAT is an award winning arts and health organisation which exists to enhance the wellbeing and experience of all who spend time in NHS Grampian hospitals, whether patients, visitors or staff.
GHAT arose from the simple idea that improving the hospital environment by displaying art made everyone who spent time in the buildings feel better. GHAT strives to highlight culture as a central component of wellbeing and is a sector leader in developing bespoke arts projects for people visiting, working or utilising the services within hospitals and healthcare.
GHAT has come a long way in the 30 years or so since that original idea was formulated, but still it is committed to expanding art for all by commissioning professional artists to deliver quality projects within challenging public settings and continuous action research within the arts and wellbeing sector.
